Ashley Graham bares her curves in post urging fans to celebrate their bodies this summer: 'It's hot out there and so are you'

With summer officially upon us, Ashley Graham is issuing a PSA: "Love the skin you're in."

On Monday, the supermodel and body positivity champion posted an Instagram imploring her fans to not let insecurities about their bodies or perceived flaws prevent them from showing skin as the temperature rises.

While Graham is no stranger to sharing photos of her curves, stretch marks and body hair in a bid to move the needle forward for body positivity, this time the 33-year-old posted a series of images featuring other people of all shapes and sizes. Graham explained that she had been tagged in the photos — the first a shot of shimmering stretch marks with the words "Beautiful. End of discussion." written over it — by inspired fans proudly displaying their own bodies.

Graham does appear in the last photo, which sees her posing in nothing but gold jewelry, her unfiltered figure in full view.

"As the weather gets warmer, I know a lot of people struggle with wearing less clothes and showing more skin," the model wrote. "I hope these photos i’ve been tagged in of so many beautiful bodies motivates you to love the skin you’re in. Believe me when i say your body is beautiful, and I know it’s easy to tell yourself the lie that you’re not good enough, thin enough, sexy enough, 'flawless' enough to wear a tank top or a swimsuit, but it’s hot out there and so are you. Don’t let your mind stop you from enjoying your life to the fullest (and remember to say 'I love you' to yourself every day)!"

Graham received a flood of praise from followers cheering on her empowering message.

"So positive and inspiring!" read one comment.

"How I needed this today — feeling so low on confidence," another fan wrote. "Thank you."

"Screw beach body ready," another commenter added. "Our bodies are living now."

In April, Graham spoke to Porter magazine about the motivation behind her revealing posts.

"I don't post myself half-naked to get the likes," she said. "I post myself half-naked so that someone who's 10 years younger than me knows that that side butt, that hip dip — that's not abnormal to have."

She added, "I wish that, when I was younger, there had been someone as outspoken as I was, who was as fearless with their cellulite and back fat, so I could know that this was normal; this was what a body looks like."
