U.S. President Joe Biden is in Ottawa for an official visit — a trip that will include an address to Parliament, and a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The two-day trip, the first non-summit overnight visit by a U.S. president in nearly two decades, is a chance for Biden and Trudeau to continue their efforts to renew the bilateral relationship, which was marked by some tension in recent years.

A recent poll, conducted by Maru Public Opinion and GZERO Media, found that Canadians and the U.S. don't feel as positively about their relationship as they used to before.

30 per cent of Canadians feel that the relationship with our neighbours to the south is getting worse. That’s compared to 23 per cent who felt things were improving.
