Guy tricks girl and wows internet with sneaky 'home in bed' trick
You’ve heard the old saying, “that’s so crazy it just might work” but we rarely ever get to see it in action. But thanks to social media, when those seldom occasions do come along, you can count on them getting re-tweeted, liked and favourited until everyone on the internet has seen them.
Like this one:

As you can see, cool guy James was out with the boys but wanted to convince his lady friend he was all cuddled up at home. You know, like he told her he was.
Say what you like about building trust in relationships, the internet wasted no time in cheering on James for the stunt. The tweet has been liked more than 200,000 times since it was posted on Sunday.
James, who is from Weston-super-Mare near Bristol in Britain, has even inspired imitators:

And others are claiming they have friends who pulled the same stunt, complete with pillow:
@JayGreatorex @YatesArtist My boys done this as well ???? had a pillow in my car and everything pic.twitter.com/Hdn8O9HUTD

But not everyone was impressed with old James’ trickery. Quite a few of the ladies weighing in on the issue did not see the humour, and many voiced some variation of the following concern:

One thing’s for sure: with this much online attention, whoever James was trying to trick is onto him by now.
