'Holidays at the White House': Jill Biden Unveils Christmas Decorations

The holidays arrived at the White House as First Lady Jill Biden unveiled her Christmas decorations on Monday, November 29, with the theme of “Gifts from the Heart.”

The White House said the theme was inspired “by the small acts of kindness and experiences that lifted our spirits this year and throughout the pandemic.”

The holiday displays in 13 rooms each represent their own “gift,” including the gifts of family, nature, learning, and faith.

In total, the White House has 41 Christmas trees, with around 6,000 feet of ribbon, over 300 candles, and over 10,000 ornaments used.

Over 100 volunteers worked for a week to decorate the inside and outside of the building, the White House said. Credit: The White House via Storyful
