It Sure Seems Like Vin Diesel’s ‘xXx’ Co-Star Has a Crush on Him
In xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Vin Diesel will be working with several lovely ladies, including Bollywood star Deepika Padukone. The actress was on Ellen and talked about how she learned that she was going to be starring in her first American film. It’s superconfusing. After failing to land a part in Furious 7, she met with Diesel in L.A. They wound up doing a photo shoot, but she was never officially told she was going to be in xXx. She, of course, was cast. Anyway, she and Diesel later appeared in a sultry photo of themselves hugging.
Ellen DeGeneres pointed out that people might think the co-stars were dating. “That’s what you would get from that,” she noted, referring to the photo, as Padukone smiled awkwardly. “Oh, look at that face. Does that mean that there is? Because that’s what the rumor is,” DeGeneres said.
“Well, there’s no smoke without fire, you know,” Padukone said coyly. “But it’s all in my head, you know? In my head I think, like, we’re together, and we have this amazing chemistry, and we live together, and we have these amazing babies, but it’s all in my head.”
