Scarlett Johansson is all smiles as she opens her Parisian popcorn shop Yummy Pop
Actress Scarlett Johansson is trying out a new role – entrepreneur – after opening up her very own popcorn store in Paris. Wearing a classic French blue-and-white striped boating shirt, the 31-year-old joyfully got behind the counter at Yummy Pop to serve her very first customers.

Of her new project, the Lucy star said: “I am so excited to introduce Yummy Pop, a labour of love and Epicurean enthusiasm. My hope is for Yummy Pop to become a Parisian snacking staple and a symbol of friendship between my two most beloved cities, Paris and New York.”
If the store’s recent opening is anything to go by, she’s in with a fighting chance. The streets of the Marais district were mobbed with people, all keen to snag themselves a bag of delicious popcorn, which featured the fun logo “Pop here, pop there, pop everywhere! Yum”

And everyone was sure to walk away satisfied. Scarlett had thought of every taste when creating the menu with her husband and business partner Romain Dauriac and chef Will Horowitz of New York-based restaurant Harry and Ida’s.
In addition to offering the treat in sizes small, medium and large, the actress also served up a host of flavours including Canadian Maple, Real Cheddar and her personal favourite, Truffle Parmesan.

Just days after trying her hand as business owner, the Lost in Translation star revealed that she’d like to open more locations if the flagship store is a success. “It has been a dream of mine and my family for several years to bring our favourite American snack to our favourite European City!” she told E! News. It just goes to show, dreams do come true.
