Tiger Woods Critiques Golf Game of U.S. Presidents

Tiger Woods took some time away from not playing golf to stop by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Stephen asked him about playing golf with U.S. presidents, so Tiger gave a quick rundown of their golf skills.

Tiger said that George H.W. Bush plays very fast and that they typically finish a round of 18 holes in under two hours. About Bill Clinton, Woods said that there were a lot of “cuts.” Stephen asked whether that meant a lot of cuts at the ball or that he cut corners, and the former No. 1 golfer in the world took a long pause and responded with “cuts” as he made a hand gesture signaling that Clinton hit cut shots. As for President Obama, Tiger said that he hits the ball straight, but also said, “Hard to hit it crooked when you hit it … not long-ish.”

Colbert ended the presidential golf questions by asking if Woods had ever played with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Tiger responded with, “You said presidents,” which got a laugh from Colbert and the audience.

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
