Watch: Zendaya, Jacob Tremblay and more celebrate WE Day in Toronto

Three cheers for WE Day Toronto! Singer-actress Zendaya, Jacob Tremblay and Paula Abdul were among the stars who walked the blue carpet outside Toronto’s Air Canada Centre for the annual event. The inspiring celebration – which promotes giving back and encouraging young people to do their part to change the world – got off to an early start, with crowds of screaming fans arriving before sunrise to see their favourite celebrities.

Every year WE Day attracts an impressive list of famous faces (past guests include Katie Couric, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas) who perform and speak to the stadium crowd about making a positive impact on the world. This year, we turned the tables on the celebrities by asking who they’re inspired by. “I would totally fan girl over Emma Stone and Elizabeth Banks,” Good Witch actress Bailee Madison told Hello!. “I think they’re both amazing women who are doing amazing things.” Meanwhile, Margaret Trudeau, Chris Hadfield and The Voice winner Jordan Smith also filled us in on the people who have influenced them.

The speakers who were part of the lineup certainly weren’t immune to the excitement. Paula Abdul revealed she was excited to see fellow guest Macklemore, while blogger and activist Hannah Alper told us, “I definitely want to get a selfie with Jordan.”

Jacob Tremblay was one of many stars who turned out to support Toronto's WE Day.

WE Day Toronto host Zendaya gave a shout out to all of the energetic fans on Instagram. “Thank you for such an amazing first #WEDay,” wrote the star. “To every young person in the audience…Thank you for inspiring me and continue to be the beautiful souls you are!”
