Will Smith Believes Security Cameras Caught a Real Lion in His Yard

Will Smith stopped by Ellen on Thursday and brought footage from his home security cameras showing what he called a lion. Not a mountain lion, which is not uncommon in the Los Angeles area, but a LION. Host Ellen DeGeneres politely disagreed with him, saying the cameras showed a mountain lion: The video from the driveway cam positively showed a mountain lion. But it’s the footage from his yard in which Smith is certain he sees a lion. Regarding the trespassing mountain lion: Smith soon discovered the best way to deter it from entering his property again.

Smith said he called a ranger the morning after his cameras spotted the mountain lion, and the ranger said the only way to keep it from coming back is to spray lion urine around the outside of the property. Lucky for Smith, the ranger had some with him — for a price. Smith said that lion urine sells for around $38.99 a gallon. He had the ranger spray it around his property, but still came up with a much different solution.

“I thought he should have at least been able to relocate it [the mountain lion] to Denzel’s house,” Smith joked.
