Yuba City woman sentenced in hit-and-run that killed 13-year-old

A Yuba City woman has been sentenced to 15 years to life in connection with a deadly DUI crash. Prosecutors said Constance Addison killed 13-year-old Alec Flores as he walked to school in October 2019. Investigators said Addison was driving under the influence with her three children in the car at the time of the crash. She was arrested at her home just over a mile from the scene of the crash. Addison was found guilty of all counts in August: second-degree murder, gross vehicular manslaughter, hit and run, and child endangerment. In court on Friday, the judge denied probation and sentenced Addison to 15 years to life. If Addison is released, she would be on parole for the rest of her life.
