Beyoncé Poses atop a Holographic Horse for Her 'Renaissance' Album Cover

Beyoncé's Renaissance era is all about the glam.

On Thursday, the pop star shared the official artwork for her highly anticipated seventh studio album, Renaissance, set to release on July 29. The stunning image features the singer wearing an ultra sexy, diamond encrusted harness (reminiscent of the crystal top she wore on her debut album cover for Dangerously in Love in 2003) while she sits atop a silver, holographic horse. For her glam for the image, she opted for 70s inspired flowing, wavy tresses and a bold red lip and sultry eye makeup. The release of the album cover comes after Bey shared her first single off the project — a house and bounce inspired track titled "Break My Soul" featuring New Orleans rapper Big Freedia—last week. A video for the track is rumored to drop in the coming days.

Beyoncé wrote a lengthy caption to fans (a rarity for the singer) about what the upcoming project represents for her on a personal level.

"Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving," she wrote. "My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are."
