Brothers Prince Harry and Prince William Just Teamed Up to Honor Mom Princess Diana

Earlier this year, Prince Harry and Prince William presented a united front while honoring their mom, Princess Diana, at the late royal’s long-awaited statue unveiling. And now, history is repeating itself. (Well, sorta.)

This week, the brothers came together to celebrate their mother’s legacy once again. Harry and William met with ten recipients of The Diana Award’s Legacy Award, which is a prestigious accolade that’s handed out every two years to people whose social action and humanitarian work deserve recognition.

It’s important to note that the get-together wasn’t nearly as personal as the statue unveiling, mainly because Prince Harry called in via Zoom instead of flying in for the event. While William greeted some winners during a gathering at Kensington Palace, Harry virtually chatted with another group of recipients.

In addition to meeting Harry and William, the honorees will also receive some other perks in the near future. On December 9, they will attend a special ceremony at Althorp House, where they’ll receive the Legacy Award from Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer.

The recipients will also gain access to a two-year development program. As People points out, it “aims to provide them with the opportunity to enhance their skills in four key areas; leadership, community development, social entrepreneurship and technology for good.”

It’s likely Prince Harry and Prince William didn’t get a chance to address their supposed strained relationship during the joint appearance. But hey, it’s a step in the right direction.
