When the Duchess of Cambridge opened up about parenting on a podcast almost two years ago she received rave reviews for her honesty and her relatable approach to motherhood. And now, Prince William is taking centre-stage in a similar way by sharing thoughts on an audio walking experience for Apple Fitness Plus.

The Duke of Cambridge will star in a special Christmas episode of Time to Walk which will be available starting Monday, December 6. The series was launched at the start of this year and created to encourage people to walk more often to benefit their physical and mental health. Each episode features a guest who walks in a location that is meaningful to them and shares important memories, life experiences, and lessons learned. Previous guests have included country music star Dolly Parton and NBA player Draymond Green.

William will be walking through the Queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, including near his home there, Anmer Hall. “During the episode, His Royal Highness talks about the importance of keeping mentally fit, reflects on a light-hearted moment when he was drawn out of his comfort zone, the value of listening as a way to empower others, and an experience that led him to prioritise mental health,” Kensington Palace shared in a statement announcing the appearance. Three of his favorite songs will also be played.

The Prince’s involvement will also see three mental health charities benefit from a five figure donation each from Apple: Shout in the UK, which is a text message service for people in crisis that the Cambridges helped to launch; their US partner Crisis Text Line; and Lifeline in Australia which offers 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.

Time to Walk is an audio walking experience on Apple Watch for Apple Fitness Plus subscribers, but Prince William’s episode will also be available free on the radio station Apple Music 1 from Monday December 6.
