Fans have a theory about why Kylie Jenner just posted a picture of her driving licence on Instagram
There was a confusing moment over on Kylie Jenner's Instagram the other day, when - out of nowhere - the beauty mogul shared a picture of her driving licence with fans, and on her grid no less. While some fans were busy chatting about how good Kylie looked in the license photo, others were coming up with a pretty convincing theory as to why the post appeared in the first place. And, tbh, we're sold.
Obviously, first things first, Kylie didn't share the sensitive information included on the license, only a close-up shot of her driving licence picture which in true King Kylie fashion looks like a glam headshot rather than an official DMV snap.
Now, this was always going to send fans into a bit of a tailspin as they all filled the comments with variations of the same question; how does anyone look like that in a driving license picture?!
One comment on the post read, "Why can’t all my ID photos look like this lol," while another said, "I wish my ID was this perfect," and a third person wrote, "wow wish my ID was this nice."
Clearly Kylie looks unbelievably glam, but aside from the fact she looks good fans were a little baffled by her posting her driver's licence in the first place. That is, until some came up with a pretty believable theory.
Over on a Reddit thread discussing the post fans began theorising that she posted to picture to try and put an end to accusations she uses photoshop in pictures on social media, with the official DMV snap proving what she actually looks like.
"I think it's a 'I don’t use photoshop' statement tbh lol," one person wrote, getting multiple upvotes from others. Meanwhile, one person pointed out that there was even a scene in Keeping Up With The Kardashians where Khloé went to get her driver's license picture taken, and came prepared...
"Reminds me of [the scene] when Khloé got her pic done for her license and took a professional ring light to the DMV office 😂 Kylie probably did the same and took her glam team with her too."
Is it a necessary move? Not really, no. Will we be doing it next time we need a new licence or passport picture? Absolutely.
