As one of our favorite creators on TikTok, Food Network star Valerie Bertinelli never fails to put a smile on our faces. But like us, she isn't always the best at understanding the tricks of the trade. In fact, the Valerie's Home Cooking author was super relatable when she asked fans for help to make better videos.

Back in February, Valerie went on the social media platform to share the latest happenings from her personal life with followers. But while trying to get into detail, she stumbled upon a major issue. She couldn't figure out how to add more time to the clip before the app hilariously cut her off.

"I have an olio of musings or thoughts or whatever I wanted to say here. Because TikTok is different than ... Oh, I'm running out time," Valerie said upon realizing her mistake. "Do I have to add — yes. I guess I do. Hm. So is that what happens? You just, like, do you — how do you get give yourself more time?"

Aw, poor Valerie! It was definitely a mix of emotions watching her struggle to figure out her error — equals parts laughter and shock. Luckily, her dedicated fans came to the rescue because by the time she filmed her next TikTok a few days later, she knew how to extend the length of the video.

"Thank you for all your help, everyone. Yes, I chose three minutes," she said in the second clip before touching the screen a few times. "But here's the deal: Why do I see people go like this all the time? To continue time? What is that? What's that?"

Valerie continued: "Anyway, I forgot what my musings were. So I guess it really doesn't matter. So I'll come back when I have something to say. Thanks for all your help."

LOL. Like Valerie, we honest don't get the whole finger thing either. But fans offered her some theories on why other creators could be doing this, which make a ton of sense.

"They’re pausing their videos to get their thoughts together or to their next point. It’s so they aren’t rambling. Try it! You’ve got this. 🥰," wrote one fan in the comments. "Hi Valerie! They are touching their phone because it’s going dark and they want to continue to be able to see themselves recording," another responded. "They are stopping and starting 🥰 you can pause and gather your thoughts before you begin again…you’re doing great and you’re an inspiration 👍 😁," replied a different follower.

Thanks Valerie for teaching us something new and we're really enjoying your content as of late. Speaking of her funny videos, did you see her hilarious TikTok about filters? Read more about it here:
