'Great British Bake Off' Revealed The Cast Of The Upcoming Season And We Can't Wait To Watch
One does not simply watch Great British Bake-Off without forming a full-on obsession. If that sounds like you, you've probably been waiting patiently for the upcoming season to hit Netflix, and fortunately we can tell you to mark your calendars for next week. Better yet, the GBBO Instagram account posted cast introductions to hold us over until then.
An announcement of the new cast was dropped on the official GBBO Instagram accounts, and their names include Amanda, Chigs, Crystelle, Freya, George, Giuseppe, Jairzeno, Jürgen, Lizzie, Maggie, Rochina, and Tom. GBBO's account then posted individual profiles about each contestant, outlining their age, hometown, occupation, something they love, and their baking specialty.
For what seems to be the first time ever, a vegan baker, Freya, will be joining the tent. Other baking specialties the cast boasts are Italian flavors, intricate chocolate work, cake painting, Caribbean spices, and so much more. As we know, there are quite a few rules bakers have to follow to participate on the show as well as a rigorous audition process, so it's no question we'll be seeing all sorts of talent this season.
The new season is hitting Netflix in the United States on September 24, with new episodes being dropped every Friday at 12:01 a.m. PST. That means we'll be able to look forward to all of the shenanigans between Matt, Noel, Paul, Prue and the bakers at the end of each week and also means we'll be able to avoid spoilers from overseas easier than ever before! A treat indeed!
